Sexting star Sydney Leathers has a new gig. Anthony Weiner’s cyber gal pal spent yesterday morning modeling leather skirts, jackets and tops for clothing line Apparel NY in an Upper West Side apartment. But while she was comfortable sending “Carlos Danger” steamy pics in a thong, Leathers was camera-shy at the photo shoot. After some posing in leather pants and a jacket, Apparel NY owner Shafqat Khan encouraged the 23-year-old from Indiana to “be more edgy” and showed her a photo of a topless woman with her hands across her chest. Leathers politely turned down the suggestion, saying, “I’m not comfortable with that.” Nor would she agree to show her stomach in a midriff-baring number because, she told us, the media have been calling her fat. “I think any girl has body image issues at some point in her life,” she mused. “I weigh like 140 pounds right now . . . There are people that are saying, ‘Oh, she weighs 200 pounds,’ and crazy stuff. I’m gonna work and tone up, and I’m on a diet right now.” Leathers — whose modeling stats, according to a call sheet spotted by Page Six, are 36B-32-39 — did eventually agree to undo a few buttons on her blouse. We’re told she booked the gig by reaching out to the clothing company but her rep said they reached out to her by e-mail, and that Leathers, “was paid for the shoot and gets a percentage from all leather sales.” Before she headed back to Indiana (and likely into obscurity), we asked what she’d do if Weiner ever contacted her again. “I think I would burn my phone,” she said.
