A copy of the birth register for Prince George was displayed at the Westminster Register Office in London today, and proud father Prince William has listed his and Duchess Kate’s occupations as Prince and Princess of the United Kingdom.

Other details from the official doc include the royal baby’s full name as “His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.”

Additionally, “His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Luis” was listed for dad, while a simple “Catherine Elizabeth” was listed for mom. Their royal residence is Kensington Palace, London W8 4PU.

Prince William signed the certificate with just his first name.

Royal Watchers may be wondering why the Duchess of Cambridge – the name she was formally given when she wed Prince William in 2011 – is listed as a “Princess” as her occupation on her son’s register.

According to the Washington Post’s Royal Watch, Kate “can still technically be described as a princess even though that’s not her title.”

“Under British law, wives take the rank and status of their husbands on marriage,” said Andrew Roberts, a British historian, told Today.com.

Prince George was born on July 22 and is the third in line to the throne behind his father and Prince Charles.
