A Channel 2 news van was sitting so long during the media stakeout of Charlie Sheen at the Trump International Hotel on Central Park West, it had to be towed yesterday afternoon. While swarms of paparazzi and reporters sat outside the hotel, waiting to see if Sheen would appear, the news van was being hauled away. A station rep confirmed the incident, adding, “The television station called for a tow truck, which towed our van because the van had an engine problem and wouldn’t start” — which definitely wouldn’t qualify as winning.
