Johnny Depp is shooting down rumors he popped the question to Amber Heard because she has a bun in the oven.

Days after Depp confirmed the long-rumored engagement, the 50-year-old actor opened up about his pending nuptials to the 27-year-old actress in an interview with NBC’s “Today” show on Friday.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star took the opportunity to deny rumors that the couple were getting married because they were expecting a child.
“Nope, no. No. It’s not a shotgun affair,” he said.
After some talking about the latest addition to his collection of rings (Depp has been sporting a dainty rock on his left hand), Depp gushed to Savannah Guthrie about Heard, whom he has dated since 2012.
“Yeah. She’s a wonderful girl. She’s sharp as a tack, wonderful, Southern belle and sweet as can be and good for me,” the actor said.

Depp is currently promoting “Transcendence,” which arrives in theaters on April 17, while Heard’s next film, “London Fields,” is due out later this year.
