Two days after Matthew McConaughey took home his first Academy Award, it’s not a picture of the actor mugging with his Oscar that everyone is talking about, it’s one of him and his high school prom date.

Moments after the “Dallas Buyers Club” star’s big win, Leah Pickett posted a picture of the actor, 44, and her aunt to Twitter.

“My aunt’s high school prom date just won an Oscar. Congrats, Matthew McConaughey! #oscars,” Pickett wrote alongside the soon-to-go-viral photo.

In the image — which has since been retweeted over 9,000 times — a fresh-faced McConaughey holds the hand of his date, who’s decked out in a striking (and very ‘80s) blue dress.

While she may not have become the household name her dance companion has, Pickett claims the years have been kind to her aunt, noting, in a later tweet, that she “is still beautiful, and happily married.”

McConaughey is married to Brazilian model Camila Alves. The couple has three children together — two sons, Levi and Livingston, and a daughter, Vida.
