Demi stuns in first appearance since rehab

Demi Moore appeared to glow last night at the launch party for her Lifetime series, “The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet,” as she announced that she was finally ready to ditch her “@mrskutcher” Twitter handle.

Three months after being rushed to the hospital after convulsing while smoking an unidentified substance at a party, and being whisked away to rehab to be treated for “exhaustion,” Moore made her first public appearance last night to celebrate her new show at a party sponsored by InStyle magazine. Moore no longer appeared sullen and gaunt, as she had throughout the fall and winter, but looked every bit the screen siren with round cheeks and a dewy complexion.

DEMI MOORE RETURNS TO TWITTER

DEMI MOORE FEARS SHE ‘NOT WORTHY OF BEING LOVED’

Having put back on a significant amount of weight in the past few months, Moore stunned in a black sleeveless vest piled high with blingy necklaces. She smiled confidently as she posed for photos with InStyle editor Ariel Foxman and her close friend, de Cadenet. While de Cadenet hosts “The Conversation,” Moore is an executive producer for the series.

Moore’s appearance came just two days after she returned to Twitter, the micro-blogging site where she was once a prolific contributor along with estranged husband Ashton Kutcher. Moore took to the site again last night, revealing that she was finally ready to carve out her own identity and sever ties with Kutcher completely.

“Time for a change, a twitter name change,” she wrote. “Any suggestions?”

A few hours later, she followed up, “Collecting all the suggestions! thank you. keep them coming!!”

Moore announced in November that she was ending her marriage to Kutcher after six years together, following allegations that Kutcher had a one-night stand with 22-year-old Sara Leal on his wedding anniversary with Moore.

Moore talked about the split in detail with de Cadenet in the January issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. In the candid interview Moore told her friend, “I would say what scares me is that I’m going to ultimately find out at the end of my life that I’m really not lovable, that I’m not worthy of being loved. That there’s something fundamentally wrong with me.”

But after her showing last night, it appears that little is wrong with Moore. The “G.I. Jane” actress appears officially ready for a comeback.
