George Costanza is finally getting his soup. We hear that Jason Alexander, who played the “Seinfeld” character and was famously denied soup by the Soup Nazi, is partnering with the Original Soup Man, the inspiration for Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi character. We’re told Alexander will serve as the brand’s “champion” to help to build the line of soups in supermarkets and franchised restaurants. Sports icons Reggie Jackson and Shaquille O’Neal are also onboard for the venture. The Soup Nazi character, inspired by NYC soup vendor Al Yeganeh, who now runs the Original Soup Man chain, first appeared on the NBC series in 1995 and spawned the catchphrase “No soup for you!”
