Tony-nominated Tracie Bennett’s performance as Judy Garland is so spot-on, an audience member accused the actress of lip-synching and wanted her money back. “I just arrived home from seeing ‘End of the Rainbow,’ ” the aggrieved showgoer wrote. “I have to say I was disappointed that the star lip-synched. Kindly reimburse me for my ticket.” A “Rainbow” rep told us, “Believe it or not, Ms. Bennett does all her own singing.” A theater insider added: “At least one person at most every performance asks the sound board operator if Tracie’s lip-synching to Judy tracks.” Fans can judge for themselves on Sunday, when Bennett’s scheduled to perform at the Tony Awards, on what would’ve been Garland’s 90th birthday. We hear she’ll wear a frock with “Judy Garland flair” to the show. Stars recently seen hanging backstage with Bennett at the Belasco’s VIP “Rainbow Room” lounge include Aretha Franklin, Calvin Klein, Adrienne Maloof and Neil Patrick Harris.
