Paul Simon and Edie Brickell release new song

Paul Simon and Edie Brickell recorded a new tune, describing a couple struggling and seeking to rekindle their love.

“Like To Get To Know You” was posted on Brickell’s website on Wednesday.

The couple sings: “You share my home, you share my kids and my dog, but I swear I don’t know you at all.”

Simon and Brickell penned “Get To Know You” in days following Saturday’s ugly spat, a source close to the family said Thursday.

The song was released four days after New Canaan cops showed up at the couple’s home to break up a domestic dispute.

Their latest collaboration describes a pair of lovebirds who have lost their passion but don’t want to call it quits.

“I see other couples all the time, holding hands and laughing. See them standing in the movie line exchanging loving glances,” Brickell sang in the Texas-tinged bluegrass tune.

Then they both chimed in: “And I wouldn’t trade places with anyone — none of them, cause I like to get to know you again.”
