Female models at the J.Crew presentation at New York Fashion Week once again resembled J.Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons, with several wearing black-framed glasses and ponytails. But the male models were more diverse. Frank Muytjens, the head of men’s design, who sports black eyeglasses and salt-and-pepper hair, explained to us, “There’s not one guy we draw our inspiration from — he’s a guy who is confident about his personal style, but in an understated way.”
