Ali Wentworth almost didn’t make it to her gig hosting the Phoenix House benefit Wednesday night because of the storm. After arriving at the Mandarin Oriental for the last half of the event, the comic explained to the crowd that her car was delayed and she couldn’t find a cab in the snow. Plus, she joked, she got pressure to stay home from her husband, George Stephanopoulos, who had just gotten off election coverage (and dealing with Diane Sawyer’s slurring). Burberry’s Rose Marie Bravo stepped in to host the first half of the gala, honoring Diane von Furstenberg, Theory’s Andrew Rosen and Neiman Marcus’ Jim Gold. Also there were Olivier Theyskens, Glenda Bailey and Linda Fargo.
