Madonna made a grab for relevance last night, having Korean pop star Psy join her onstage during her second show this week at Madison Square Garden.
Together they danced to his cultural phenom “Gangnam Style” in front of a crowd of 20,000. At one point, the aging singer backed into Psy and crawled through his legs. She then climbed on his back and rode him like a pony.
Madonna said Psy flew “all the way from Frankfurt, Germany this morning.” and that she was a big fan of the rapper and loved his bright red suit. Psy had kind words in return, saying performing at Madison Square Garden with the Queen of Pop topped his list of accomplishments.
During her concert, Madge also collected money for those affected by Hurricane Sandy – fans threw money onstage as she sang “Like a Virgin.” She said she collected $3,000 at Monday’s show.
