Victoria’s Secret model Hilary Rhoda: Beauty to the rescue

Model Hilary Rhoda did some good for victims of Hurricane Sandy in advance of taking the runway at today’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at the Lexington Armory. The brunette beauty, who lives downtown and lost electricity, packed a car full of supplies and delivered them to the hard-hit Rockaways on Sunday. Taking a break from the workouts the girls go through ahead of the show, Rhoda posted a photo of herself hauling trash on Instagram with the caption, “Lent a helping hand today in the Rockaways.” Victoria’s Secret came to the rescue of the National Guard last week when its relief operation at the Armory on Lexington Avenue near 25th Street suddenly went dark during the height of the storm on Oct. 29. The next day, VS lent generators and a T1 fiber-optic connection it had on hand for today’s show to the Guardsmen so they could power up the building and fire up their cellphones and computers. VS’s parent company Limited Brands has donated $1 million to relief for Sandy victims. Yesterday, the Angels — including Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes, Erin Heatherton, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson and Behati Prinsloo — were in final rehearsals for the show. It will also include performances by Justin Bieber, John Legend and Rihanna and will air on CBS on Dec. 4.
