A premiere of Dree Hemingway’s indie movie “Starlet” was saved by moving uptown on Friday night. The Cinema Society event was meant to go down at the Tribeca Grand with an after-party on the rooftop of the James Hotel. But since both spots had been in the dark last week, the screening and party were relocated to the Chatwal Hotel’s Lambs Club in Midtown. We’re told the film’s director, Sean Baker, was forced to miss his own premiere because he couldn’t make it into New York from LA in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Expected to attend the Sandro-sponsored bash were artist Matthew Barney, singer Duncan Sheik and ’90s indie darling Heather Matarazzo.
