James Franco sneaked into an 8:30 a.m. Sundance screening of “Fruitvale” and joined hundreds of others in a standing ovation to the festival’s breakout hit. Interestingly, Franco’s former girlfriend Ahna O’Reilly is one of the film’s stars, and was present for the Q&A afterward. “Fruitvale,” based on the true story of police-shooting victim Oscar Grant, and starring Michael B. Jordan, was bought by the Weinstein Co. for a reported $2.5 million.
