Lil Wayne was released from the hospital last night and is continuing his recovery at home.
The “Lollipop” rapper was hospitalized in LA’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for six days after suffering a series of seizures.
His Young Money associate Mack Maine tweeted, “Thanks to Cedar Sinai for everything!!! @LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home….God is great.”
Weezy’s mentor, Birdman, also tweeted, “God Bless.my son just release frm hospital.thanks 4 all tha luv.YMCMB.Richgang.”
Initial reports last week falsely claimed that Wayne was near death and being read his last rites. Wayne’s camp insisted that the rapper’s condition was wildly exaggerated.
A number of famous friends paid the 30-year-old Grammy winner a visit, including Nicki Minaj, Drake and Usher.
