Alison Pill and Jay Baruchel have reportedly called off their two-year engagement and have split for good.
News of the break up was first reported by Us Weekly and have been confirmed by other outlets.
The 30-year-old “Knocked Up” actor allegedly tweeted (and then deleted), “Alone again, naturally. Heartbroken. I won’t be on twitter for awhile gang. Getting dumped rules.”
It appears distance was the culprit.
“Working and living in Canada is something that [Baruchel] is very passionate about. He wanted her up there more often, but she really likes ‘Newsroom’ and the opportunities that are there for her,” a source said to Us. “They were doing the long distance [thing] a lot.”
The Canadian stars met while working on the hockey film “Goon” and became engaged in December 2010.
A few months back, the “Newsroom” actress accidentally tweeted a topless photo of herself, which Baruchel thought was “hilarious.”
