High-flying Spanish contemporary artist Domingo Zapata might not be that hard up for money after all. We hear the painter — an Art Basel darling whose fans include Lindsay Lohan, Pamela Anderson and Sofia Vergara — has sold several paintings valued at about $100,000 to Sasha Berg, the owner of Manhattan’s Garlic Pizza. But instead of accepting payment, Zapata has asked that the cash be donated to the Bowery Mission in the form of . . . free pizza. We’re told $100,000 is enough to provide pies to needy families for two years. Page Six reported that Zapata fired his management team last month amid rumors of money trouble.
