Baby Maxwell is going to have a little brother!
Pregnant Jessica Simpson was casually chatting with Jimmy Kimmel on his show last night about her morning sickness when she threw in a joke, “The crazy thing is, I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous!”
The 32-year-old fashion mogul instantly realized she revealed her baby’s gender and added, “Well, I guess I just told the world that I’m having a boy!”
Kimmel initially did not realize what his guest revealed, saying: “Oh, I didn’t even know it was that. I thought maybe you were having a girl with a penis,” he joked.
“I can’t believe I just did that, that was not planned,” Simpson insisted. “I just did it so crude, I feel awful!”
The baby-to-be will join big sis Maxwell whom Simpson welcomed with fiancé Eric Johnson in May. As for when she might walk down the aisle, Simpson said, “I keep planning on getting married, but I keep getting knocked up.”
During the show, Simpson said she’s been experiencing plenty of pregnancy-related nausea. “It’s a totally different pregnancy. I just feel awful, I’ve been vomiting,” Simpson said.
Rumors about the pregnant “Fashion Star” mentor having a son had swirled since January. She admitted to Kimmel that her family and friends knew her baby is a boy, but had no clue how the information leaked to the press.
“I don’t think that a lot of stuff people say is malicious in any way, but maybe I have some friends with some big mouths,” she said.
After the taping, Simpson tweeted about her slip: “Accidental announcement tonight on @jimmykimmel!”
