“Kinky Boots” star Billy Porter debuted his new album “Billy’s Back on Broadway” at Bar Naná’s “Cabaret on the Rocks” series Monday.
But while the Tony winner was slated to sing several songs live, he decided to forgo the performance to “rest his voice,” an insider said. “He has a lot coming up, so he decided to spend the night chatting with friends and have people listen to his new album … but unfortunately he didn’t get to serenade the group.”
Also on the bill was former “Rent” star Crystal Monee Hall, who crooned for guests including Aisha Tyler, Victor Garber, Dean Winters, “Today” co-host Tamron Hall and Bar Naná co-owner David Rabin.
