Valerie Harper, who is battling brain cancer, will compete on “Dancing with the Stars” despite being given three months to live back in March.

The 74-year-old actress, famous for playing Rhoda on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, will appear on the upcoming season with Scientology survivor Leah Remini, Snooki, “Saved by the Bell” star Elizabeth Berkley, Amber Riley from “Glee” and pop singer Christina Milian.

Doctors have diagnosed Harper with the rare cancer leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, which causes cancer cells to penetrate the brain’s membrane.

“I was stunned,” Harper told People magazine in March. “And in the next minute I thought, ‘This could draw more attention to cancer research.’ ”

“I don’t think of dying,” she said. “I think of being here now.”

Harper and partner Tristan MacManus have been practicing the last two days, and she may prove to be a real force to be reckoned with, sources tell TMZ.
