TIME Warner was under added pressure to force Chris Albrecht out as head of HBO, after he was arrested last weekend in Las Vegas for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, because of the leniency shown to chief financial officer Wayne Pace last year, when Pace, 56, was identified as the “sugar daddy” who had paid $200,000 to Brazilian madam Andreia Schwartz. Pace denied he had “an inappropriate relationship” with Schwartz. Time Warner said it had found no evidence of illegal conduct. As of yesterday, Pace was still the company’s CFO. A Time Warner source told Page Six, “There’s a big difference between what Wayne did and what Chris did.” But the female employees who pressed Time Warner to fire Pace last year were even more shrill calling for Albrecht’s head.
