Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland collapsed from dehydration while performing early Sunday in Lagos, Nigeria. She was taken to an undisclosed hospital for care and appears to be doing well.

Her representative, Yvette Noel Schure, said in a statement that the former Destiny’s Child vocalist was taken to an undisclosed Lagos hospital for treatment and was said to be in good condition, according to UPI

The 26-year-old star recently released her second solo album and was in Nigeria as part of the ThisDay Music Festival, which also featured performances by Shakira, Rihanna, D’Banj, Asa and Sasha. Lagos, Nigeria’s former capitol, is Africa’s second most populated city with almost eight million people.

Recently Rowland branched into acting with her roles in the 2003 summer blockbuster Freddy vs. Jason. She has also appeared on UPN sitcoms, The Hughleys, Eve, and Girlfriends.

Rowland is expected to be well enough to return to the United States today to continue promoting her “Ms. Kelly” album.
