HIP-hop producer and gangsta rapper Dr. Dre couldn’t keep it in his pants as a teenager. “One day I received that phone call – the call that all moms of teenagers dread,” Dre’s mother, Verna Griffin, writes in her upcoming memoir, “Long Road Outta Compton.” Just 17, Dre (real name: Andre Young) had been secretly seeing 16-year-old Lisa Johnson. “Lisa’s mom called me to inform me that Andre had been sneaking over to their home and Lisa was now pregnant,” Griffin relates. “When I asked her if she was sure that it was Andre who had been with Lisa, she got very upset. She said, ‘If I had come home and caught that n – – – – r in my house, you would have been picking him up in a box.’ Needless to say, the conversation went down from there.” But Griffin stood her ground, telling the irate mother, “My son didn’t break in your house and rape your daughter; she let him in, which makes her just as much as fault as he is.” In January 1983, Johnson gave birth to Dre’s first child, La Tonya Danielle, although the two never married.
