Sofia Vergara has been going through stylists like they’re going out of style, according to sources.
A p.r. insider says the “Modern Family” star has gone from Deborah Waknin, whose clients include Sandra Bullock, to Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn (Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna), to Elizabeth Stewart (Cate Blanchett, Jessica Chastain) and on to Rachel Zoe, whom she used for the premiere of “Machete Kills.”
“No one goes through that many stylists,” said the insider, adding the Colombian beauty “brings friends and family to fittings” who chime in.
“Everyone has an opinion,” said the source.
But a source close to Vergara countered: “Sofia stopped working with Deb over a year ago and has since been trying out various [stylists] to see who she connects with best. This isn’t uncommon for actors.”
The source also sniffed, “She does not bring a lot of people to her fittings.”
Perhaps reflecting the need for style guidance, when Vergara appeared on “Chelsea Lately” last week, Chelsea Handler remarked that Vergara wasn’t wearing her engagement ring — and the Latina bombshell then realized she had on no jewelry at all.
“Oh my God, everybody’s fired! My assistant! My publicist! They let me out with no jewelry,” she exclaimed. “I have never done this! Do I have underwear on? I feel naked.”
