Snow won’t stop the party for NY’s society crowd

New York’s society crowd braved the snowstorm to celebrate at a series of lavish parties across the city Saturday night.

Julie Macklowe caused a near riot at Avenue at a bash to celebrate her birthday and the two-year anniversary of her beauty brand vbeauté. Among those taking in a performance by British singer Jetta and dancing late into the night were designers Zang Toi, Vivienne Tam, Alice + Olivia’s Stacy Bendet, Warner Music’s Rob Wiesenthal, Lava Records’ Jason Flom, gallerist Adam Lindemann, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman with Michelle Manning Barish, Eleonora Kennedy, Dayssi de Kanavos and Robert Marc.

Meanwhile at the Plaza Hotel’s storied Oak Room, festively draped in tartan, event designer Bronson van Wyck threw his stylish annual “Eleven Pipers Piping” party complete with wild dancing from barely clothed male and female dancers. Those enjoying the scene included interior designer Thom Filicia and Greg Calejo, as well as designer Dennis Basso and husband Michael Cominotto.

And even farther uptown Marjorie Gubelmann, a k a DJ Mad Marj, threw a merry Marj Madness party at Tokya, joined by hosts and guests including Tory Burch, Simon Huck, Jamie Tisch, Ariel Foxman, Peter Davis and Sean Avery.
