Hotelier Ian Schrager is a busy man.
He’s about to open two Edition hotels in Manhattan in partnership with Marriott International, the first at the landmarked Clock Tower at 5 Madison Ave. in 2015, and the Edition Times Square in 2017.
But he’s also opening two Public hotels in New York through his own Ian Schrager Co. in 2015.
He confirmed to Page Six that the first will be at 215 Chrystie St., which he bought last year, and the other one will be on the far West Side.
Schrager is also helping to develop a residential property at 357 West St. He currently operates one Public in Chicago — a hybrid luxury hotel with fewer amenities, but which boasts a restaurant run by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
