Loyalty is all to Piers Morgan. The new CNN host, who debuts Monday, thanked his agent John Ferriter, who was fired from William Morris Endeavor in 2009 and nearly died from a staph infection. Piers told a dinner hosted by British GQ with guests including Tommy Hilfiger: “Ari Emanuel, being the kindly character he is, waits for John to be able to speak before he said, ‘You’re fired’ . . . John had all those clients who were staying at William Morris — including, ironically, Larry King. I just thought to myself, ‘What do I value most? . . . Friendship and loyalty . . . I decided to walk with him . . . He went on to land me the biggest job in interviewing in the history of television.”
