Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose finally has an excuse for his no-show at his scheduled cameo on CBS’s “The Good Wife.” We reported on Wednesday that Rose, who had a late game Monday night in Chicago, didn’t answer his door when a car service arrived at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. After telling sports reporters he “overslept,” he told us in a statement he’s apologized: “I have been in contact with ‘The Good Wife’ and expressed my sincere regret for not attending the production day. It is a first-class show. and I have great respect for its creators, production staff and actors. I understand how much time and effort goes into producing a show like that and had no intention of causing any problems for them. This was an exciting opportunity for me, but unfortunately it did not work out as I had hoped.” Sources said Rose’s no-show cost the show heavily in lost time and kept stars, including Josh Charles, waiting. CBS declined to comment.
