Betty White wept tears of joy as she accepted the BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy from her “Hot in Cleveland” co-stars, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves. As the 88-year-old comedian hoisted her statuette, a likeness of Charlie Chaplin, she chuckled, “No matter what you may have heard, Chuck Chaplin and I never had a relationship . . . well, maybe once.” Stars at the bash included Michael Sheen, Carey Mulligan, Jeff Bridges, Jane Lynch and Dakota Fanning.
