Blows traded over rival Isabella Blow books

The authors of rival Isabella Blow biographies are in a war of words. Lauren Goldstein Crowe, writer of “Isabella Blow: A Life in Fashion,” told Racked.com that Blow’s sisters and her stepmother were at her book party in London. But Tom Sykes, who co-authored “Blow by Blow” with Isabella’s husband, Detmar, blew his stack, saying Crowe’s insinuation that her book is the “approved version” because of her party guests was “outrageous.” He said, “Isabella loathed her stepmother, so I would not take her presence at a book’s launch party to be a particularly powerful endorsement of its integrity.”
