The star of “Rachel Getting Married” is about to have a wedding of her own. Anne Hathaway is engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Adam Shulman, an actor and jewelry designer.

The couple sparked rumors of their impending nuptials yesterday when Hathaway sported a very blingy ring on her left ring finger as the two strolled through Prospect Park with their dog. The actress’ her rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly.

The “Dark Knight Rises” star has not always had it easy in love. In 2008, she split with boyfriend of four years, Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri. At the time, he was being investigated by the New York Attorney General’s office for writing a bad check for $215,000 and for failing to file paperwork with the IRS for his Follieri Foundation. A few months after their split, Follieri plead guilty to 14 counts of money laundering, conspiracy and wire fraud and was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

After the breakup, Hathaway vowed to stay single, but a few months later she began dating Shulman.

“I am very much in love with him; Adam totally ruined my plan,” she told Marie Claire UK in September. “I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!”

She elaborated to Vogue that their relationship didn’t begin instantly.

“We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together,” Hathaway explained. “He thought that I had a boyfriend, and I thought that he had a girlfriend, so I thought that I’d better keep my distance because I didn’t want to be that girl.”

But ever since their start, Hathaway says things with Shulman have been easy breezy.

“So far, it’s worked out great,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “Mellow doesn’t always make for a good story, but it makes for a good life.”
