Emilia Clarke spotted out with new beau Cory Michael Smith

“Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke is stepping out with her Broadway co-star Cory Michael Smith, and the two looked close at Vanity Fair’s glamorous Oscar party.

Clarke, who returns as dragon babe Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series next month, starred with Smith in the ill-fated “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” and while a source close to Clarke insisted “they’re just friends,” guests saw the pair holding hands and slow dancing at the party after chatting with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. Clarke was previously linked with last year’s Oscars host, Seth MacFarlane.

Graydon Carter’s Vanity Fair bash was held at the Sunset Tower Hotel since 2009, but moved this year to accommodate more guests in a specially constructed 12,000-square-foot space on Sunset Boulevard with a custom-made, 92-foot-long chandelier and huge outdoor terrace.

The night’s breakout newcomer Lupita Nyong’o changed out of a stunning Prada gown into a Miu Miu sea green silk dress for the bash. She posed for pics with guests, including Gayle King, then danced the night away with the backup singers from the Oscar-winning doc “20 Feet From Stardom.” She told us, clutching her Oscar, “I can’t believe this is in my hands! I’m really overwhelmed … but so grateful.”

Jared Leto was deluged with well-wishers, including Jane Fonda, Leo DiCaprio, Sheryl Crow and Adrien Brody. And Jennifer Lawrence traded her red Dior gown for an edgy, shattered glass-covered Tom Ford mini. After earlier falling on the red carpet, she was overheard joking of her new short dress, which required her to step out without underwear due to its sheer side panels, “I’d better not fall in this.”

Allison Williams, with fiancé Ricky Van Veen, showed off a huge diamond ring, exclaiming, “We just got engaged on Tuesday.” Also there: former top cop Ray Kelly, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Bradley Cooper, Chris and Liam Hemsworth and “Gravity” director Alfonso Cuarón, who dedicated his Oscar to his British socialite love Sheherazade Goldsmith.
