Exec hints at ‘Sex and the City’ return

The second “Sex and the City” movie may have flopped — but Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha could still ride again.

Michael Patrick King, executive producer of the TV show and movies, let it slip during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he hasn’t closed the book on the foursome.

“Sarah Jessica and I both know what that final chapter is,” King told EW. “That doesn’t mean it will or should be told, but I do think there’s one story left. Whether it ever happens is a whole other situation. But there’s four girls, and those girls are still on my mind.”

His words echo those of star Sarah Jessica Parker, who expressed the desire for a third film in January’s InStyle.

“A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell,” Parker said. “But . . . it isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!”
