Elevator malfunctions are the new wardrobe malfunctions for Leighton Meester. The “Gossip Girl” starlet got a late start to her four-song set at the opening of American Eagle’s store in Times Square after she got stuck in an elevator en route from the green room to the stage. “The door shut, but the elevator didn’t go anywhere for a few minutes, which felt like forever,” says a source.

Luckily, Meester started moving before technicians needed to be called. Also in attendance were her “Gossip Girl” co-stars Jessica Szohr, Matthew Settle and Michelle Trachtenberg, as well as “Raising the Bar” star Mark Paul Gosselaar.
