Anchor mistakes Samuel Jackson for Laurence Fishburne

Samuel L. Jackson went off on a Los Angeles TV anchor on Monday when the mindless talking head mistook him for Laurence Fishburne.

Sam Rubin of KTLA-TV asked Jackson — doing press for his upcoming “Robocop” movie — about his Super Bowl ad.

The problem was, of course, that Jackson didn’t do a Super Bowl spot. Rubin was clearly referring to a Kia commercial, done masterfully by Fishburne.

“What Super Bowl commercial?” the incredulous Jackson shot back.

After five seconds of incredibly awkward silence, Rubin – the station’s entertainment reporter – admitted his mistake.

“You’re as crazy as the people on Twitter,” Jackson fumed. “I’m not Laurence Fishburne!”

Rubin stammered and stumbled in trying to apologize. Jackson wouldn’t let it go.

“We don’t all look alike! We may be black and famous, but we don’t all look alike!” Jackson scolded.

“There’s more than one black guy doing commercials.”
