Raises for some at Conde Nast

The departure of several high-salaried executives at Condé Nast may have freed up cash for those left behind. Insiders say salary freezes in place since 2008 are slowly being lifted. “Not everyone will get raises, but there’s some money around to do so,” said one source. A Condé Nast spokesperson declined to comment. In the past few weeks, Condé group publisher David Carey left to become president of Hearst Magazines and Vogue publishing director Tom Florio left to run a new company of his own.
