Kim Kardashian will wear a Vera Wang dress when she weds New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries, the designer confirmed Monday following weeks of speculation.
“What a glorious moment! I am so thrilled to be dressing Kim for her wedding to Kris Humphries!” Wang told E! News about working with the reality TV star on a gown for her big day.
“Kim and I often spoke of creating a fantasy wedding gown,” the designer added. “I’m so excited! As a friend of the Kardashian/Jenner clan, I wish the engaged couple all the joy and happiness in the world!”
In June, the bride-to-be was spotted at Vera Wang’s Madison Avenue boutique in New York City and at her bridal salon in southern California — igniting rumors the designer-to-the-stars would do the honors for Kardashian’s wedding on August 20.
Wang had crafted the gown for Kim’s younger sister, Khloe, when she married Lakers forward Lamar Odom in 2009.
Humphries, 26, proposed to the TV star in late May after six months of dating — presenting her with a 20.5 carat diamond ring valued at $2 million.
