Justin Timberlake may be the reigning King of Pop, but he was dethroned by Prince William from the cover of Vanity Fair’s July issue. When the mag opted to print a never-before-seen Mario Testino shot of William and Kate Middleton, a profile of JT by Vanessa Grigoriadis, with photos by Norman Jean Roy — got bumped from the cover. Roy shot this year’s Hollywood issue for VF, as well as covers with Lindsay Lohan, Cher and George Clooney. A VF rep had no comment. A source close to Timberlake says the singer’s camp was “very happy with Vanessa’s story and Mr. Roy’s photos.”
