Pungent e-mail isn’t Kelsey’s

A prankster hacked into Kelsey Grammer‘s personal e-mail account and sent a tasteless message about ex-wife Camille Grammer to his friends and business contacts. Following his bitter divorce from the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star last year, an e-mail from one of the actor’s e-mail accounts was sent Wednesday morning with the subject line “Camille smells like beef jerkey [sic]” followed by “goodnight.”

But embarrassed Grammer, who’s in Chicago starring in the Starz network drama “Boss,” quickly sent a follow-up e-mail to friends, stating the cryptic message was sent “without my knowledge, consent or authority.” He explained that although the e-mail account was in his name, it was always a shared account and “third parties” continue to have access to it. “May I suggest that it is ‘they’ who owe you an apology,” Grammer wrote, saying he was closing the account. His rep, Stan Rosenfield, confirmed the incident but declined to comment further.
