Kim and Kris bickered during prenup talks

LOS ANGELES — Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ short-lived marriage was doomed before they even said “I do,” according to sources who claim the former couple’s prenup negotiations were marred by bitter showdowns.

The reality TV superstar and the NBA player sniped at each other during summer talks with their lawyers over how to divide their assets in the event of a marriage split, TMZ reported Thursday.

One of the major factors behind their bickering was how much of a cut Humphries, 26, would get from their wedding-generated earnings, with each complaining, sometimes bitterly, about the way the other was treating them.

“It was really apparent then … this marriage wasn’t going to last, and even they could see it wasn’t a good idea,” the unnamed source said.

Kardashian, 31, allegedly triumphed in her wish for their assets to remain separate, with Humphries receiving a limited cut of the money generated by their wedding.

The couple, who met in October 2010, got engaged in May this year and married in August.

Their union lasted just 72 days, with Kardashian filing for divorce Monday on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences.”

She later said in a message on her website that she married for love and it just did not “turn out to be the fairytale” she wanted.

Meanwhile, Humphries said he is committed to the marriage and does not want to divorce.
