Damon Dash back in court, has bout of seeming amnesia

Damon Dash seemingly suffered amnesia in court Friday, testifying he barely recalled a 2009 incident when he allegedly had his ex-girlfriend Linda Williams arrested on phony charges.

When Robert Erlanger — a lawyer for Williams, 49, the mother of Dash’s son, Damon Jr. — asked if Dash remembered being in court with Williams in 2009, Dash answered, “I’ve been in court with her so much I wouldn’t be able to tell you.”

Erlanger asked if Dash at least remembered making statements to cops about his ex. “I have no recollection of specific timing of when all of this stuff is,” he replied. Dash, 43, told the jury he went to the cops because he “wanted protection from emotional abuse.”

The harassment charges against Williams were tossed, and she then sued for $1 million for false arrest and malicious prosecution. After the jury was dismissed, The Post’s Julia Marsh reports, Dash boasted to Williams’ attorney, “I told you I was going to kick your ass up there.” He later argued with reporters outside court before summing up, “All I care about is how good I look. Later.”
