After “America’s Got Talent” moved from LA to New York to keep new judge Howard Stern happy, Stern almost persuaded NBC to film the live shows practically on his doorstep. We’re told that NBC producers were in talks to film at East Hampton Studio through the summer. The studio, in Wainscott, is 31,000 square feet and built to house movie and TV productions, and is conveniently not too far from Stern’s Southampton spread. But sources tell us the talks with NBC didn’t end in a signing, and the Hamptons plan didn’t go ahead. According to the show’s Web site, it will be filming in New York for three days next week , then the live shows start in early July. An NBC rep didn’t get back to us last night.
