Steve Jobs was honored during Monday night’s 16th annual Webby Awards at Hammerstein Ballroom. Richard Dreyfuss, who voiced Apple’s “The Crazy Ones” campaign, told the crowd before launching into his tribute of Jobs, “Before we talk about Steve, I just want to say, Mark Zuckerberg, Eric Brin,” presumably meaning former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and co-founder Sergey Brin. “If you’re going to take our privacy away from us, then why don’t you tell us something private about yourselves? And if your gonna change our world, why don’t you pay for it, because it’s theft,” Dreyfuss said, adding, “I’m not kidding.” He was introduced by “Get a Mac” stars John Hodgman and Justin Long, who took an iPhone photo backstage, dubbing it a “Three Musketeers” moment. A video about Jobs had words from Bill Clinton, Buzz Aldrin and President Obama. Mayor Bloomberg, Björk, Louis C.K., Spike Lee, Juliette Lewis and Jeremy Lin also took the stage with Patton Oswalt as host.
