For folks who can read @mentions and #hashtags like proper English, check out this new FunnyOrDie clip starring “Twilight” hunk Kellan Lutz, who dons a tux for this 007-themed lampoon on serious social media addictions.
Lutz plays Agent Hashtag, a Bond-like secret operative who debates Instagram filters for “selfies” with his dead cast-offs, “live tweets” car chases and “checks-in” top secret locations on Foursquare. Before shooting a pleading villain in the head, Agent Hashtag makes a Facebook quip, “You should have accepted my Friend Request.”
The teaser reenacts key scenes from the new Bond movie “Skyfall” with a comedic twist. In the final scene, the hero faces off with a bad guy in a blonde wig, a la Javier Bardem’s baddie Silva, who tortures Hashtag by nonchalantly deleting Hashtag’s social media accounts one at a time.
Lutz posted a link to the video on his Twitter and spun Bond’s signature intro: “Hashtag, Agent Hashtag, at your service… POKE ME or else!!” Yikes…watch at your peril and maybe turn off your phone afterwards and read a book.
