Bobby Brown pleads ‘not guilty’ to third DUI: report

Bobby Brown is trying to escape his latest brush-in with the law.

According to TMZ, Brown has pled “not guilty” after his DUI arrest last month when he was pulled for driving erratically in the streets of LA. Officers approached the R&B singer’s vehicle and asked him to exit his car after they detected the smell of alcohol. He reportedly performed poorly on a field sobriety test and was then arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The gossip site reports that Brown was also charged driving on a restricted license and driving a vehicle without an interlock device (a breathalyzer that prevents a car’s engine from starting if the driver’s had something to drink).

If convicted on the new charges, he could face two years in jail.

Brown doesn’t have the best driving record. His latest DUI charge comes shortly after he checked himself into rehab for alcohol abuse in August. He was previously arrested for drunken driving in LA in March. He pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge in a plea deal with prosecutors and was placed on a three-year summary probation and ordered to complete a three-month alcohol education program.
