Artist Richard Phillips will unveil a short film starring Lindsay Lohan at Art Basel in Switzerland next week. Called “First Point,” the surfing movie was shot in Malibu, and — although Phillips says LiLo was steady on set — the hard-core hanging-10 was left to pro surfer and stunt double Kassia Meador. “Lindsay [was] very athletic and very eager to go surfing,” Phillips told us. “She’s a determined beginner. She [had] the necessary ‘go for it’ attitude.” He said Lohan remained professional during the shoot last summer, despite her shaky rep at the time. “All the takes were done on the first shot,” he said. “Her ability . . . exceeded my expectations.” The two previously filmed a short, “Commercial Break,” which screened at the Venice Biennale. This one’s debuting through Gagosian Gallery in Basel’s Art Unlimited section and features music by Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter.
