The cast of the “Real Housewives of New York” celebrated the new season with competing viewing parties Monday night. Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan held a bash at Serafina’s Upper West Side spot, LuAnn de Lesseps partied at Lantern’s Keep in the Iroqouis Hotel, while Aviva Drescher hosted at Frames Bowling Lounge. Carole Radziwill toured all the parties before joining close friends at a downtown restaurant. But the gossip seemed to be about former cast member Jill Zarin, who made an unexpected appearance at the bashes. One spy whispered, “It seems like Jill Zarin has gone from Real Housewife to Desperate-for-attention Housewife. Jill crashed LuAnn’s party and marched right past the check-in, posing for pictures and doing interviews.” Zarin insisted to us she was invited and, “I stopped by to congratulate LuAnn.” But of the new series, she snipped, “I thought they were going to make it more sophisticated and classy. I didn’t see any of that. It is just as catty as ever.”
