Brad Pitt’s brother Doug, a working stiff in Missouri, has spoofed his very ordinary existence for an Australian Virgin mobile ad.
“This is Doug Pitt,” a video for the Virgin campaign begins, “the second most famous Pitt in his family.”
According to the Daily Mail, the ad, which has gone viral, then shows Doug giving a tour of his home and mundane life.
“This is the family living room, where I usually don’t get to pick what’s on the TV,” he says, showing off his living room in a suburban home.
He also makes lasagna, shows off his stereo system and shoots hoops in his driveway, missing a shot.
When he passes the family van in his driveway, Doug says, “‘I like this car, it’s sporty, it’s stylish!”
The jokey commercial is the first acting gig for Pitt’s younger bro, who is, in reality, the owner of ServiceWorld Computer Center in Springfield, Mo., according to the report.
Family man Doug was also once, “chairman of the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce,” it says.
