Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ divorce may not be played out in court after all, according to a new report.
Attorneys for the estranged couple are currently negotiating a full divorce settlement, sources tell TMZ.
Unless the negotiations fall apart, there are no plans for Holmes or Cruise to make a court appearance. Previously, Holmes was scheduled to face a family court judge on July 17, according to E! Online.

Lawyers for both sides are trying to reach agreements on child custody, visitation, child support and the pair’s property, TMZ reports.
Despite rumors that Cruise’s camp may seek to move the divorce proceedings to California, the settlement could be ratified in New York, where Holmes initially filed for divorce on June 28, according to TMZ.
